Lakes are stocked several times throughout the summer with trout. Cimarron Canyon offers some of the finest fly fishing in the West for rainbow and brown trout. Paddle boats and rowboats are also available for rental at most area lakes. Golf America's 3rd highest 18 holes. PGA rated championship golf course. Opening for the season mid April through mid October. |

With in an hour hours drive is the spectacular Cimarron Canyon. There are numerous places for day hikes or backpacking trips outside Santa Fe in the Pecos Wilderness of Sante Fe National Forest. Among the challenges includes a climb to Lake Katherine and 86,193 acres of wilderness in the Carson National Forrest.
